The story follows the life of Akshar, a waiter in a restaurant and budding boxer. He works at the restaurant to earn bread and butter for his family and alongside wishes to be a big boxer some day. On a certain day he has an opportunity to go for National Trials for boxing and it is very important to him. He had prepared well and just wanted to leave a little early from job and reach there on time. Just then work keeps piling up on him. Somehow work load at restaurant increases making it difficult and frustrating for him to leave eventually ending up in an argument with the customer leaving him to choose between his passion and the thankless dreadful job.  When pressure reaches the tipping point he bursts out in anger and feels like thrashing all of them around who had been taking him so lightly and show his true power.

This project was done in a team of two. I took lead on the story, ideation and visualisation decisions and Suryansh Baloch my teammate took lead on execution and process of production for the film.

Script Writing

We started writing the script when we had to finalise the conversations and dialogues. It was a fun process to lay it all down. Unlike regular process of script first and then visualising and storyboarding, we did visuals first and later script writing. Visuals helped us better understand our story and craft the dialogues better.

Storyboarding

While storyboarding, we very pretty clear that we wanted each shot to be a close up of what it is trying to tell. We wanted to use a lot of dynamic camera angles as story demanded for dynamicity with all the action. One of the major difficulties was positioning the characters in the restaurant. Since there were a lot of important characters who had to interact with each other staying at their own places. Continuity in shots was also little difficult to maintain along with 180 degree rule since the space was very small. We started by simple thumbnails and as that felt like it was working, we moved on to sketching out finer storyboard panels with details.
